The world is better-off with you in it than without you. Mankind needs your help. I dare you: bring together 10 dedicated filmmakers to blitz this planet. That's all it took for the prophets of old to take over whole continents -- ten radicals, ten guerillas.

Hi, I'm DJ Jean-Michel (aka "Sol") of the Wednesday night variety show SACREBLEU! *LIVE* (10PM, Austin Cable Channel 10). I feel I represent the new breed, as far as live producers. I've attended the main colleges and universities in Austin, and also worked for some local employers such as UT-Austin and Whole Foods. I'm an Austin FilmWorks alum, apart of the Reel Women and Writers League of Texas cabals, and a Producers Council Liaison at Public Access Community Television (previously called "ACTV").
Recently, I've become vegetarian. Though I'd been eating health food for years, I hadn't fully come to the jarring insight of what most meat goes through before it arrives on our plates. Neither was I confident that I could find high-energy foods, being vegetarian -- or gain muscle mass. Now I've realized that meat is unnecessary, especially for athletic lifestyles. As far as body mass -- weight lifters get their mass from whey shakes after workouts.
While I'm enjoying the lifestyle Austin has to offer, I'd soon like to be traveling, making documentaries, and writing the books that have laid dormant in my brain. This is a special time in history, and I don't want to miss out.
SACREBLEU! *LIVE* broadcasts here in Austin every week. The show's purpose is to do what no other in Central Texas is doing -- to expose the viewing audience to world music and art, especially new French, Middle Eastern, and North African music and art. In a time when Mid-Eastern and African peoples are being bashed nightly in the news, SACREBLEU! *LIVE* provides a smart person's alternative.
