Nick Papatonis' favors should be available to all Producers
If one producer is allowed access to equipment, others should be allowed equal access to that equipment.
Nick has been allowed to have a live series which is Saturday nights from 11p to 6a. (It may go later; Linda insists that it is an 8 hour live show) He was given this ability, although it was never offered to producers ever before, never even allowed. Even with a Special Request, you could get at most a 4-hour show, and even that was only once. Because of Nick's personal relationship with Linda Litowski, he is allowed to blatantly abandon the rules. Linda and Garry tell us this is a "Pilot Project" and they can do anything they want with these and they do not have to tell us anything about them. Regardless of what language you want to use, if one producer is allowed access to equipment, others should be allowed equal access to that equipment. Don't get me wrong. I think it is fantastic that they have allowed him to fill the void of early morning airtime. And, i think it is great that he has put forth the effort. God bless him. But, now he is blocking the Channel from 11p until sunrise. This is unacceptable. Maybe someone can think of a solutino here. We want to fill the channel space, but not to allow one producer to dominate in this manner. |
